"Probably about a week," Rae said. "Nothing really all that big I promise." She watched him reading his eyes. "What's really going on that Schatten and Sam won't tell me?" Rae asked. She knew that there was a reason that she was called back and that there was something going on but nobody would tell her what was going on exactly. It was annoying actually. Beyond annoying.
"But lets worry about that later," Rae said realizing that she really didn't care at the moment. "Lets think of something else to do. We do have a lot of catching up to do right?" They had missed three months and in their career three months was a long time that shouldn't be wasted. People could get killed at any moment.

Theo smiled deciding that the place surely wouldn't fall apart without him in a week, but with all the rumors and talk these days he guessed you could never be so sure. "A week away from here sounds great, might even do me some good" not being able to resist he moved forward to lightly kiss her forehead, glad she was back. As she changed the subject so suddenly however he sighed ,the little bubble they seemed to have been in the past hour popping. "Nobody is sure what is going on, rumors are being spread around the place like a disease. Most are utterly ridiculous but I have been wandering the city and have heard word of some villains grouping together, following some idiot that is promising them better things. So I am going to track the guy, break open the plans before they can even begin"
When she changed the subject he dropped the matter happily, pleased to not be focusing on work for once. "Catching up sounds great. Sure you want to do it in the gym though" he asked looking around the room, feeling pretty horrible himself due to his sweaty clothes.

"Now come on you know I'm not that kind of girl," she teased with a grin. She would focus on what he said about villans later. Maybe. But it wouldn't for a while. "Besides I should probably give you the chance to know whatever you want it's the least I can do. Out of everyone else here you deserve to know more then anyone esle."
She wasn't sure why she was prolonging this tension. Though she had to make sure that he was ok with everything that he wanted to know. It would only be fair. He deserved more but she didn't have that much to offer, but still he didn't seem satisfied enough to her. She thought that he wanted to know more.
"So if there's anything else you need to know you might want to ask now before my attention is diverterd," she said as one of her hands fell slowly down the middle of his chest feeling the lines that his more then pronounced muscles made.

"Oh really?" he asked with a grin, joking as he moved somehow even closer. "what I want to know" he said slowly distracted by her hand, slowly moving down his chest. "Is what exactly have you been doing with yourself for three whole months? After you tried to reach Kasey. Where did you go? what did you do with yourself? I still don't get it" looking down at her hand he sighed, still having the main question burning in his mind, the one he was still hurt over. "And why didn't you take me with you? you know I would have followed" Helped look after you he thought hating the idea that she was out on her own, anything could have happened to her.

"I didn't want to have to deal with the fight that would probably follow," she said softly. She really didn't wan to deal with the fighting that happened between Theo and Kasey. It drove her absolutely nuts.
"I didn't think that he was going to die. I hadn't planned on being away for three months. It just sort of happened. I had to clear my head," she said. "I couldn't come back to you when my head was so wrapped around him. I didn't want to make you angry and you had been putting up with him for so long now that I just couldn't bare to make you do it anymore. It was my pain not yours. Besides I can handle myself.
"But I traveled a lot," Rae said. "I went back home for a little bit not long and it was a while after kasey died. Someone had to tell them. God his mother wanted to kill me. She was probably one of the reasons that I didn't come back either. She just what she did was unfair but she was still grieving for him but he was twenty four he made his own choice. I didn't make it for him intentionally, but I know that he did it because of me which is bad enough.
"Anything else?"

Listening intently as she explained, Theo waited for her to finish before shaking his head. "I think I know enough" he smiled softly. Deciding to keep the past in the past, after all whatever had happened couldn't exactly be changed. Sure he would have rather she stayed with him, brought him with her at least. But he understood where she was coming from so decided to drop it. "But don't blame yourself for Kasey's death. He was a big boy you know, could make his own decisions. It wasn't your fault at all, you know that right?" looking at her seriously he sighed, hoping that she wasn't blaming herself. There was probably nothing worse than feeling responsibility for someone else's death, and he didn't want her to feel that way, especially when it was untrue.
Noticing his arms where still wrapped around her waist he removed one of them, sliding the other so it went round her back. "Now how about we go somewhere else to talk? Im just not feeling the environment here" smiling he tried to lead her out of the room, though clueless where they where headed. "I think we should go have a laugh, just the two of us. Like old times hmm?"

Rae nodded her head yes when he asked if she knew that Kasey's death wasn't her fault. She felt otherwise and she knew that but she wasn't going to let him know that. Kasey was dead and she wasn't going to let it bother Theo anymore. She would always blame herself for his death but that was just something that she couldn't help, but Theo didn't need to know that.
"Oh so you want to kidnap me and keep me all to yourself. Someone's being a little selfish," she teased. Rae wondered what he had in mind about other places. It was rather vague but then again he was always full of surprises. It was nice to be wrapped up in his arms again though she couldn't deny that not that she would try anyway.
"So tell me where is it that you're stealing me away to for your own selfish purposes?" she asked her eyes filled with excitment.

"Kidnap you and lock you up" Theo teased back with a grin, raising an eyebrow suggestively. "Very kinky but no, not for tonight" still grinning at the mental picture kept his arm around her waist, looking around the training room. "Well you can stay here if you want, not the coziest place by the looks of it mind."
"I think I am entitled to steal you for at least a short while" Theo smiled walking out of the training room, deciding to pick up his towel etc later. "Well since its such a nice evening.. I was thinking rooftop? Cheesy I know but I often go up there now. You don't get a typical sunset since we are in the city, but watching the sky fade to the darker colors is nice too" Turning to see her reaction he smiled, knowing that it was sad and cheesy but the rooftop had become his little quiet space. Since finding the door to the roof on one of his explorations around the headquarters he spend loads of time up there.

"Who said anything about locking me up?" Rae asked. "Somebody's getting rather ahead of themselves don't you think?" She was sure that he wouldget his way. He normally did. All he had to do was smile at her and all of her resistance was gone it seemed. She was worse then a teenaged girl in love with her been seventeen for ninety years vampire.
"The roof sounds fine," Rae said whenhe made the suggestion. She couldn't remember Theo ever caring if anything was cheesey before. He kind of just did things and hoped that Rae didn't hit him afterwards. They still had a lot of things to go over too. She wasn't sure if she would be able to keep her mouth quiet at all if that's what he had planned. She still wasn't sure if they were going rom before she left or if they were beginning all over again. She followed him out of the room at any rate.
"I can't stay up there too long though," Rae said. "I haven't even begun to unpack yet, and that's kind of useful when I plan on staying."

"Nothing wrong with getting a little ahead of yourself though is there? Besides the cage I bought of ebay has just been sitting there collecting dust for ages, need to use it sometime" Grinning he winked jokingly at her.
"Glad you approve. Not like I wouldn't drag you up if you said no anyway" laughing as they left the room he began to lead them down the hall toward the roof exit. "The door is just down the hall, Then there is a few stairs and then we are at our destination" pointing to the door he added extra emphasis to the few, knowing that there was quite a lot more stairs than a few.
"You have been here three days and you haven't even unpacked? your hopeless" he joked before rubbing his forehead with his free hand. " How about this... We stay upstairs for a bit then I come down and help you unpack? Will take less time."

"I know where the roof is," Rae said. "I notice that it didn't go anywhere while I was gone." She hadn't been gone that long. Did he really think she was that hopeless. Or maybe it was because he was just that nervous. She wasn't sure which way that it was. It was odd to say the least.
"Well there was kind of a reason why I didn't unpack," Rae said as they climbed the stairs. She decided that she would actually walk up them and not use her unfair advantage to fly up them. That wouldn't be very nice. "I didn't really want to unpack them just to pack them up again and move down the hall to unpack them for what I hope is the final time." She wondered if she momentarily gave him a heart attack because it sounded like she was going to leave again for most of her explination. He said that they were back together and when they were together before they left they had been rather close. Exteremely so.
"Come on keep up," Rae said moving a bit faster up the stairs and she moved up faster as they reached the end of the stairs. She got to the door and opened it up to the view of the city.

Theo caught the sarcasm and grinned "Don't get all offended there Missy, most people don't even know where it is. It is rather hidden, and in my part of the building none the less, barely anyone comes up here apart from me. I didn't know you had went up before, because at least with me you haven't been up" whilst speaking he looked around the corridor, it was literally now his part of the headquarters. Nobody came up anymore because they knew that if they did, they would be chased away as soon as he spotted them.
He sighed when she talked about packing, surely she was just trying to torment him now. Keeping him hanging whilst she teased him. "Have they not sorted you out with a new room yet?" he asked simply deciding not to tell her off, or jump for the bait. Before she left, his room was practically hers, and when she left the training room or the roof had pretty much became his room.
Theo smirked when she told him to keep up, knowing that she could fly up the stairs if she wanted too. Moving faster up the stairs he let her stay ahead of him, making sure he was just behind her. Out of good sport and also because he knew that if he moved in front, had the slightest idea of beating her to the top, she would speed off and leave him way behind.
When the door was opened to the view of the city he smiled, the scene never getting old. Walking over to one side of the roof he looked down at the sleeping bag propped up against a wall. This was the best view of the city and also the place where he slept most nights, like last night for example. "Not think its humbling in a way?" he asked looking out over each and every building "All those windows, all those people, all those lives. All interconnected but yet...not"

"I don't know," Rae said when he went on about how everything was connected. "I've never been one to think much on a level like that but if you say so then I guess I can agree with it." She didn't see things like that. She mainly saw things from a rather different point of view. It was more of a view that involved a canvas.
Ok so he hadn't caught what she meant by her not unpacking yet, and she was a little disapointed by it, but then again sometimes you had to be very blunt when it came to Theo. "I have a room," she said. "They've already given me one but I kind of wanted a different one. You know one that comes with a roommate to keep you safe and warm and doesn't mind sharing their bed with a cover hog."
She just stood there as she said the words. She said them like they weren't a big deal. She leaned on the railing looking at the view remembering what it was like to be above it all. She imagined that it was like that with Spiderman in his comic books. Even though the writers themselves couldn't fly through the air with webs or otherwise they never bothered explaining it, the feeling of flying. It was indescribable.

Still looking over the city Theo smiled, looking at the yellow lights coming from the buildings, an indication someone was there. "Just look at each and every light coming from a home. In all those houses there is at least one person, usually more. And in the apartment towers" he exclaimed pointing at a rather large one "there are loads of people, each with their own dreams, own lives. You could have seen one of them before briefly and forget them the next instant, we are a very antisocial society if you think about it"
"Ahh so you want to move into my room" he grinned thoroughly pleased. They hadn't even been officially in the same room last time, although they may as well have been. "Of course you can stay in my room" he said still grinning, knowing that she hadn't officially asked rather hinted. "Might give me a reason to actually sleep in the place myself, rather than out here"
Sitting down on the sleeping bag he moved it slightly so there was space for her and patted the ground, indicating for her to sit. "Well sit here for a little and then I will come help you move in, dunno what state my room is in like" he smiled imagining it wouldn't be the cleanest.

"I guess it is," Rae said turning around so that she was facing him but she was still leaning on the railing. Smirking at him as he finally got it. "You're room?" she asked utterly bewildered. "Why would I want to share a room with you? I wanted to move in with Schatten." she laughed as she walked over to his sleeping bag.
"I could kill you for sleeping out here all the time when you have a bed room for crying out loud. There are villans who would love to be able to take you out if they stumble across you laying on a roof top. Were you put on suicide watch while I was gone?" She wasn't sure what went through his head when he decided to sleep out here.
"Well you see though," Rae began when he told her his room was probably a mess. "that's the good thing about having a telekinetic girlfriend. She can clean up so much faster then you can leaving time for other more enjoyable things." She said the last part wither her usual crocked half grin.
